A task float is a way to automatically withhold owner funds in preparation for a supplier invoice.
You'll no longer need to update the ownerships withheld funds each time a new and expensive work order is created - you can do it all straight from the task itself!
1. First, you will need to go to the task you wish to add a float for
2. Select Quotes, work orders and withheld funds
3. Click on the pencil edit button in the 'Task withheld funds' block
4. Add the amount to withhold to cover the job's payment
5. Click on Save once happy with all information
6. This information will then automatically update on the ownership record
7. Click on Disbursement preferences
8. Here, you will see that the task float has been added into the 'Task withheld funds'
9. The ownership withheld funds will automatically add the task & ownership amounts to show the full amount withheld from future disbursements
Once the task has been completed, the Task withheld funds will revert back to $0.00
