User Permissions allow you to control what actions your users are able to access.
Rex PM offers three roles to choose from for your users which are outlined below.
Permission Roles
Standard
This role is to be used for Property Managers who don't have financial actions excluding receipting or bill processing.
It is a great Permission role for new Property Managers or users who assist with data entry and tasks.
Financial
This roles is to be used for those who need access to Financial actions, such as disbursements and withdrawals.
It is a great Permission role for those who manage your trust account, or an auditor.
Admin
This role is to be used for those who need to access to both Financials and Settings within Rex PM.
It is a great Permission role for Senior Property Managers, Office Managers or Directors.
Managing Permission Roles
New User
These roles can be selected when creating a new user so they are set up for success from the moment they log in.
You can add a new user via the steps in this help article - Managing Users
Through this process, you will have a drop-down to select the Permission Role for the new user.
Existing User
For an existing user that you may need to update the Permissions for you can use the below steps:
- Go to Settings > Users
- Click into the User you'd like to edit
- Select the pencil icon on the Permission block
- Choose the new role from the drop-down
- Click Save
These changes will take effect for the user immediately however it is good practice to reload Rex PM after actioning.
